Rinso's
Raid Tracker is designed for raiding guilds to record the results of
all their raids in an easy to access, easily understood way. It allows
you to track your progress and that of your players and to record the
items that were won on each raid. It is based around a fully relational
database and is mostly hand coded in PHP.
On the raid page, player names, zone names and item names in the list
can all be clicked to go to pages giving detailed(as much detail as
we have currently) information about them. The list can also be sorted
by name, damage or amount healed and can be in ascending or descending
order. This makes it very easy to spot the stars and the slackers! <grin>
There is a facility for players to have an image of their character
on the player page. For the time being this facility will be moderated,
as I am still trying to work out the best way of avoiding abuse without
creating work for myself. I'm sure no-one wants to visit their character's
page to find that some wag had replaced their image with something unmentionable!
All this means is that it may take up to 24 hrs for your image to appear
in the tracker.
Notes can be kept for raids, players, zones and items and absolutely
everything can be edited at a later date, if needed. E.g. updating the
level of a character as they progress, or updating the zone notes as
you discover new tactics.
The database already contains images for many of the data sheets for
items and eventually I will find the time to grab them all. There are
text descriptions of the items too, but some of these are brief as a
result of trying to do the updates live while raiding. I have decided
it is easier to use paper and pencil to record wins/items and enter
them after the raid when entering the performance data from ACT.
If your guild is interested in using the tracker, please send an in-game
mail or tell to Rinso or Splitpaw.Rinso if you are on a different server
and I will get back to you.
